Working Student Operations & Strategy at Curve Labs, Berlin
- Assist with daily financial operations, incl. bookkeeping, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Manage and reconcile bank accounts and crypto assets.
- Ensure timely payments to vendors and service providers.
- Support the preparation of financial reports and tax filings (in collaboration w. our tax accountants).
- Maintain organized records of financial transactions and documentation.
- Collect and organize receipts for expense tracking.
- Assist with the management of subscriptions and software licenses.
- Coordinate office operations and maintenance.
- Manage company documentation and records using Notion.
- Support grant applications and reporting.
- Assist with new projects
Qualifikation
- Excellent communication skills in German and English (both speaking and writing).
- Studies (Ongoing, Graduate, Post-Graduate) in and around fields of interest to Curve Labs projects and research, such as Economics, Computer Science and Systems Engineering. We welcome interdisciplinarity and are biased towards applied research.
- Experience writing academic publications, drafting research requirements and documenting interviews. In general: a superb writer and able to convey complex ideas clearly and a keen eye for recognizing relevant patterns.
- Acquaintance with systems dynamics, network theory and cybernetics.
- Independently able to set and execute on priorities. Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Interest and willingness to learn in systems dynamics, cybernetics, game theory / mechanism design, network theory and social choice.
- Fascination and interest in the past, present and future of decentralized protocols and applications.
- Commitment to open-source as a philosophy.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively.

Curve Labs, which launched early 2020, is a registered German limited liability company (GmbH) headquartered in Berlin. Our work currently covers three domains:
- We are a design and development agency that integrates Web3 primitives to digital-native blockchain organizations, a.k.a. “DAOs.” Our clients include an activist coop, a decentralized finance provider, and a complementary currency provider.
- We are social activists that create and advocate for self-sovereign Web3 solutions applied to finance and organizational design. We design and build holistic systems that aim to address both socioeconomic and ecological issues.
- We are hands-on technologists who create infrastructural Web3 building blocks, such as version control, governance, and fundraising systems. We understand that these primitives are crucial for mass adoption of blockchain systems.
